Adult, Child, Infant CPR and AED


The goal of this course is to train students to recognize symptoms of sudden cardiac arrest and teach critical skills to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and as well as the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Students will learn CPR for adults, children, and infants.

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Describe the importance of CPR and its impact on survival
  • Recognize symptoms of sudden cardiac arrest
  • Understand the steps of the Chain of Survival
  • Describe the steps to perform ventilation by using barrier device
  • Describe the steps to perform adult, child and infant CPR
  • Understand the importance of timely use of AED
  • Describe the steps for safe use of AED
  • Describe the steps for relieving foreign-body airway obstruction for adults and infants
